Yvonne Margarette D'Ambrose

YVONNE MARGARETTE (CARSON) D’AMBROSE, age 75, passed away on the morning of Monday, June 22, 2020 at Laurel’s Edge in Mankato.

Born in St. Paul on September 1, 1944, Yvonne was the daughter of Merrill and Margaret (Haider) Carson. She graduated from Waseca High School before completing secretarial training in Minneapolis. Yvonne was then married and had three children. Their family lived on Madison Lake but Yvonne’s career in hospitality also took her to Vermont, Colorado, and Florida over the years. She loved traveling and traveled extensively around the world. Yvonne was always ready for her next adventure. She enjoyed meeting new people, sailing, gardening, reading, event planning, fundraising, and her grandchildren and their families. She was also proud to have been a past “Miss Congeniality” for the Waseca Sleigh and Cutter Festival.

Yvonne is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Bruce) Foels of Waseca, and Debra (Bill) Meyer of Le Center; seven grandchildren, Shaun Harty, Kevin Harty, Matthew Foels, Mitchell Foels, Megan Landkammer, Michael Sheehy, and Brianna Sheehy; several great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Jean (Wendell) Howell of Amory, WI, Sandra (Ivan) Flitter of Elysian, Patricia Rhodes of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands; and Mary (Andrew) Goettl of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Robert M. Sheehy.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville, with Rev. Michael Ince officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church. Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
