Lawrence D. Yess

LAWRENCE D. “LARRY” YESS , age 65 of rural Waseca, died at his home on Wednesday, March 13, 2013.

Born in Waseca on July 29, 1947, Larry was the son of Lawrence and Lois (Bauman) Yess.  Growing up he attended school in Waldorf and in Waseca.  He was later married to Janice Bishop at the Vista Lutheran Church in Waseca County.  Larry farmed with this grandfather, drove over the road under Larry Fennert, and also worked at Brown Printing and at Herter’s Inc.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, doing mechanic work, and making furniture.  He was a member of the Wilton Horse Club and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waseca.

Larry is survived by his mother, Lois of Waseca; aunts Darlene (Stan Erickson) Bauman and Violet Sell; and cousins Brian, Bruce, Darcey, and Zackary Bauman, Wayne Sell, Wendy Coleman, and Wade Sell.  He was preceded in death by his father; one uncle, Donald Bauman; his maternal grandparents, Henry and Mildred Bauman; and his paternal grandparents, Fred and Clara Yess.

A private family graveside service will be held at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca with Rev. John Omans officiating.  Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca is handling arrangements.
