WINIFRED CATHERINE (MULDOON) CLEMONS, age 91 of Waseca passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2015 with her family by her side.  She had a four year battle with lung cancer and Guillian-Barré Syndrome before passing away from pancreatic cancer at her daughters home in Mankato.
Born on April 27, 1923 in Mankato, Minnesota, she was the eldest of seven children born to Irish immigrants, Michael and Catherine (McGlynn) Muldoon.  She grew up on a farm near Madison Lake where she attended All Saints Catholic School and later Mankato High School.  Winifred married Milton A. Clemons on October 29, 1945 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake.  She raised her family of six children and together with her husband, owned and operated Clemons Bus Lines in Waseca for over 50 years.   She was a loving wife and caring mother.  Her interests included reading, listening to music and traveling.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.  Winifred always made sure she had brownies or chocolate cake for anyone who stopped for a visit.   She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca and the church couples circle.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Beth) Clemons of Waseca, Mary Kay (Dan) Kortuem of Mankato, Judith Ann (Steve) Conway of Waseca, Jeanne (Vance) Swanson of Waseca, Pat Clemons of Minnetonka, and Lisa (Dr. David) Byron of Hutchinson; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.   She is also survived by one sister, Theresa Denn of Mankato; one brother, Patrick (Bev) Muldoon of Madison Lake; one brother-in-law, Clem Haefner of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael in 1964 and Catherine in 1977; her husband, Milton in 2003; an infant daughter, Catherine; and siblings, Anna Marie Haefner, Esther Herz, Mary Ellen Veroeven, and John Muldoon.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 4-8 PM at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca with a 7:30 PM parish prayer service, and will continue on Wednesday, one hour before services at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Father Gregory Leif officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mankato Hospice.
