Jamie R. Wilmes

JAMIE RAE WILMES , age 34, passed away at her home in Waterville on Wednesday, March 27, 2013.

Born in Deer River on March 15, 1979, Jamie was the daughter of Bert and Maxine (Wicklund) Olson.  She began her schooling in Deer River, and at age 14 moved to Waterville where her schooling continued.  She later earned her nursing degree from South Central College.  Jamie was baptized by Father Michael Ince at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on August 3, 1996.  On July 7, 2007, Jamie married Greg Wilmes in Las Vegas.  They later divorced.  She loved cooking, baking, sewing, arranging flowers, shopping, and playing cards at Mystic Lake Casino.  More than anything, however, she loved spending time with her three children and attending birthday parties and other events for the children in the family.

Jamie is survived by her three children, Jonathon Olson, Brooke Wilmes, and Peyton Wilmes all of Waterville; nine siblings, Jennifer (Lloyd) Grobe of Waterville, Jeffrey Olson of Deer River, Jacqueline (Michael) Coy of LeCenter, Joel (Mitzi) Olson of Deer River, Jeanne (Jack) Dunker of Janesville, Joyce (David) Evans of Wells, Jill Olson of Faribault; Bert Jr. (Shirley) Olson of Calumet, and Ericka Hendershot of Austin; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville, with Rev. David Mumme officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:30 until the time of the service at the funeral home on Monday.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
