Welford B. Knauss

WELFORD BERTRUM KNAUSS, age 95 of rural Waseca died on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at his home.

Born on August 30, 1925 in Morristown, Minnesota, he was the son of Bertrum and Janet (Gorrie) Knauss. He graduated from Morristown High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper during WWII. Welford married Marlys “Mitzie” Lindenberg on August 12, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault. He was a life-long farmer in rural Waseca County. Welford enjoyed reading and watching sports and movies. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault.

He is survived by one niece and three great nieces and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother, Kent.

Private family services are being held. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in rural Morristown.
