Wayne Thursdale October 26, 1948 - July 16, 2012

Wayne A. Thursdale, age 63 of Waseca, died on Monday, July 16, 2012 at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 24th at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Marty Schaefer, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Waseca''s Woodville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Tuesday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. There will be a 5:00 P.M. Catholic Daughter Rosary, and a 7:45 P.M. parish prayer service Monday at the funeral home. Wayne Alan was born on October 26, 1948 in Waseca, Minnesota to Daniel and Ferne (Parrish) Thursdale. He was a 1966 graduate of Waseca Central High School, and went on to attend Morningside College in Sioux City, IA. Wayne was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Hainka at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake. Wayne and Barb raised their family and resided in Waseca their entire married life. He was employed for over 20 years with Brown Printing Company, and with Clear Lake Press in Waseca for the last 20 years of his career. Wayne had a passion for politics, and volunteered his time locally with Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed music, and reading. He is survived by his wife Barb; by his children, Grant (Hope) Thursdale of Minnesota Lake, Catherine (Jeff) Shada of Owatonna, Angie Thursdale (Craig Hassell) of St. Paul, Aaron (Jill) Thursdale of Waseca, and Cara (Robert) Waddell of Faribault; by his 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandson, Dakota.
