Wayne 'Petey' Petersen
WAYNE "PETEY" PETERSEN, age 66 of Waseca died on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato.
Born on July 1, 1950 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, he was the son of Soren and Betty (Nelson) Petersen.  He attended various schools and later married Caren Campbell on March 17, 1978 in Waseca.  He was employed at Birds Eye Division of General Foods and most recently at Dahles Sod Farm for several years. He enjoyed old cars, his dogs, and spending time with grandkids.
Wayne is survived by two children, Kimberly (Bradley) Dunn and Joshua Petersen all of Waseca; three grandchildren, Devon Petersen, Zoey Dunn and Riley Dunn; three siblings, Dennis Petersen of San Diego, CA, Nancy (Kim) Gerdts of Poway, CA, and Linda (Dale) Ortloff of Hutchinson.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 4-7PM at Dennis Funeral and Cremation Services in Waseca and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:00AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Kristi Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
