Wayne F. Horejsi December 17, 1953 - November 20, 2014

Wayne F. Horejsi, age 60 of Faribault, passed away, Thursday, November 20, 2014, surrounded by his family at St. Mary''s Hospital in Rochester following an extended illness.

Private family services will be held. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

The family prefers that memorials be directed to Divine Mercy Catholic School in memory of Wayne.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Wayne Francis, the son of Francis and Alice (Bosshart) Horejsi, was born on December 17, 1953 in Northfield, MN. Wayne attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1972. After high school Wayne attended a Vocational College for Drafting. On June 28, 1975 he was united in marriage to Carmen Venaro at the Episcopal Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour in Faribault. For over 26 years Wayne worked as an Insurance Agent for Farmers Insurance, starting his career with his father at the Horejsi Agency in Faribault and continuing the agency after his father''s retirement. Wayne was a life long resident of Faribault. He enjoyed wood working, gardening, fishing and most of all enjoyed spending time with his one and only cherished grandson, Cohen Wayne Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Horejsi of Faribault; by his daughter Katie (Todd) Martin of Faribault and their son Cohen; by his mother, Alice Horejsi of Faribault; by his sister, Sharon (Ron) Velzke of Faribault and their children Krysta (Tyler) Meiners and their daughter Ashtyn and Bob (Leyna) Velzke and their children, Evie and Gabe; by his sister- in-law and brother-in-law, Cynthia (Glenn) Cunningham of Faribault; by nieces, Amber Cunningham and her fianc, Cory Vaudrin and son Ryder, Courtney Cunningham, Wanda (Stan) Rosch; by nephew, Troy Swingen and fianc Casey Savoie; by great nephews, Derek Swingen and Logan Rosch and other relatives and friends.
