Virginia Houdek September 10, 1934 - August 21, 2008

Virginia R. Houdek, age 73 of Owatonna, died on August 21, 2008 at Homestead Hospice House of Owatonna. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 25th at 12:00 noon at McRaith Funeral Home of Waseca with Fr. Edward McGrath officiating. Private interment will be in the Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca, and will continue on Monday morning for one hour prior to the service. Virginia Ruth was born on September 10, 1934 in St. Mary Township, Waseca County, Minnesota to Walter and Lynda (Fell) Frank. Virginia was a graduate of Waterville High School. She was united in marriage to Robert F. Houdek on June 8, 1957 at the Assembly of God Church in Ellendale. Virginia was a homemaker, and her and her husband Robert farmed for many years in the Owatonna area. She is survived by her son Carl (Lynette) Houdek and grandson Christopher Goodpaster, all of Owatonna; by her brother Donald (Joyce) Frank of Waseca; by two sisters-in-law Darlene Houdek of Owatonna and Jean Frank of Waseca, and by many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2006, and son David in 1978; by her brothers Wesley Frank and Lorenz Frank, and her sister Viola Frank; by her brother-in-law Joe Houdek
