Videtta A. October 2, 1918 - June 30, 2012

Videtta "Vi" Orr, age 93 of Faribault, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Keystone Communities of Faribault. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault with the Rev. Craig Breimhorst, officiating. Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Thursday for one hour prior to services. Videtta Adell Slater, the daughter of Albert and Kathryn (Carstensen) Slater, was born on October 2, 1918 in Isanti, MN. She attended Northfield High School. On December 24, 1938 she married John "Jack" W. Orr in Minneapolis, MN. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1967. Vi was a homemaker for her family and following Jack''s death she then worked part time for various organizations and people. She was a resident at Keystone Communities for seven years. Vi was a member of the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, American Legion Post 43 Auxiliary, and a lifetime member of the District One Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her four children, Jean Kolling of Gilbert, AZ, Barbara Orr of Rochester, MN, Steven (Becky) Orr of Eau Claire, WI, and John Orr (Cari Tousignant) of Faribault; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents; and son-in-law, Michael Kolling.
