Vicky Rew

MARGARET “VICKY” REW, age 76 of Waterville died on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at her home.

Born on August 25, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Harold and Eleanor (Held) Atkins. She attended Dieruff High School in Pennsylvania. Vicky married Lloyd “Butch” Grobe in 1965. Together they had three daughters before later divorcing. Vicky married Leslie Rew on February 10, 1979 in Waterville. She worked at Jax Manufacturing before operating her own daycare for over 20 years. Vicky also worked at Salzman’s Resort for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, sitting in the sun, watching TV, and getting her nails done. Vicky was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville and TOPS.

She is survived by her daughters, Lori (Darren) Bauer of Waterville, Sheila Hale of Bloomington, and Michelle Ungs of Waterville; seven grandchildren, Derek (Alex) Bauer, Danielle Bauer, Dawson Bauer, Amber (Justin) Pichler, Cody Hale, Ryan (Amanda) Ungs, and Jesse Ungs; and four great grandchildren, Hayden and Isaac Ungs, Christopher Pichler, and Lucas Bauer. She is also survived by two sisters, Sharon Malott of Bethlehem, PA and Linda (Perry) Moose of West Deptford, NJ; sister-in-law, Ellie Atkins; four stepchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and one brother, Dennis Atkins.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville on Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 1-3 PM. Private family services will be held with burial at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
