Tristan (Hanson) Derringher
TRISTAN ANNE DERRINGHER, age 34, of Maple Grove died Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at her home.
Born July 11, 1982 in Waseca she was the daughter of Jim and Carol (Clemons) Hanson. She attended Waseca schools and Newman Catholic School in Mason City, Iowa. Tristan married Wil Duke Derringher on August 12, 2010 in Zimmerman, Minnesota. She lived in many cities, including London, England, and worked as an executive administrative assistant at BevCore in Osseo and several marketing agencies in Minneapolis. She most recently was Director of Content at D20 Creative Alliance. Tristan enjoyed video games and was a self-proclaimed "gamer" geek. She also enjoyed music and played flute and piano. As a result of her concern for others and passion to help people, she had aspired to become a Doula. She was articulate and witty with the written word. Tristan loved her children deeply. Tristan suffered from severe depression and helped others with this debilitating disease more than she was able to help herself (please say a prayer for others who suffer from the hidden pain of this disease). In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to International Mental Health Research Organization or a mental health research organization of your choice.
Tristan is survived by her husband, Wil, of Maple Grove and two children at home, Ethan William and Olivia Anne; parents, James and Carol Hanson of Elk River; brothers Joseph (Amy) Hanson and nephew Mason of Golden Valley, MN and Brian (Kayla) Hanson of Otsego, MN; and grandmother Pat Hanson of Waseca, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister Megan, maternal grandparents Lawrence and Leta Clemons and paternal grandfather Bill Hanson, three infant cousins, and sister-in-law, Beth Derringher.
