Tracy Rae Jevning

Tracy was born on October 7th, 1972 in Faribault, MN to David Meister and Kathleen Hansen Meister.  Her lifes journey ended at her home in Waseca, on September 30th, 2017 at the age of 44 surrounded by the people she loved dearly.
Tracy was a proud resident of Waseca.  She loved Waseca and enjoyed giving back to her community.  She loved the outdoors, gardening, reading, yoga, and she had a great love for all animals.  She also cherished every minute she got to spend with her husband and kids.  She loved getting her feet on the grass and her hands in the dirt.
Tracy married the love of her life, Michael Jevning, on August 18th, 2001.  They have four beautiful children, Taylor, Taryn, Jonah, and Jacklynn.  Tracy loved her family and they brought her great joy.
Tracy graduated from Waseca High School in 1991.  She received a BS degree in Psychology and a minor in Corrections from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1996.  Tracy established The Daily Grind with her long time best friend, Randy Abay Abay in 1999.  Following her passion, Tracy recently transitioned to serving local, organic, and fresh homemade foods and beverages.  ICAN was created in 2000 and is a residential provider for people with disabilities.  As the Owner/CEO, Tracy turned her passion into not only a business, but an extended family of the many individuals, whom she and her team served.  She advocated for people with disabilities so that they may live their lives to the fullest and achieve their highest potential.  Tracys diverse education also included an M.S. in Health and Nutrition Education, and a 200 hour yoga study completed at the Sun Moon Yoga Studio in Mankato.  In November of 2015, she opened Awaken Vibrance, a holistic health center.  She had a passion to educate others on how to nourish their body, mind, and soul by focusing on making lifestyle choices that lead to more happiness and satisfaction.
With a passion for giving back, Tracy was very involved in her community.  She received the Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Service Award in 2008 and in 2011 was the Boss of the Year recipient.
Tracy served on many boards and volunteered with many organizations including the Waseca Exchange Club, The ARC Waseca County, ADD, Advisory Committee for the Community Social Service Program, CTIC/IEIC Member in Waseca County, Consumer Advisory Committee Member-Round bank, Human Rights Commission Member for the City of Waseca, Waseca Downtown District Partnership, Waseca Chamber of Commerce, Mayo Health Systems, City of Waseca Zoning Ordinance Task Force Member, Waseca Hockey Association, and The Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation.
Tracy had an amazing sense of humor and a million dollar smile.  She was full of life, love, and passion.  She was true to her beliefs and never compromised her morals and values.  Whether it was personal or professional, everything she did was with her whole heart.
Tracy is survived by her husband Michael and her children; Taylor Juberien, Taryn Juberien, Jonah Jevning, and Jacklynn Jevning, as well as her father David Meister, and her mother Kathleen Powell (Vern Powell), and brothers Chris Meister, and Nicholas Meister (Cassandra Meister).  Tracy is preceded in death by her grandpa Raymond Meister, Grandma Ethel Meister, and father in law Wayne Jevning.
