Thomas 'Tom' Krause October 17, 1948 - March 7, 2013

Thomas "Tom" Krause, age 64, of Owatonna, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Three Links ~ Reflections in Northfield following a thirteen year battle with brain cancer.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Tom''s Life at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Howard White, Chaplain of the Three Links Care Center in Northfield, officiating.

Thomas Donn, the son of Donald and Betty (Mussman) Krause, was born on October 17, 1948 in Owatonna. He attended Owatonna High School and graduated with the class of 1967. Following high school, Tom joined the United States Army in 1968 and was later honorably discharged in 1971 after serving one year in Vietnam. On August 3, 1984, Tom was united in marriage to Kristi (Peterson) Just at the Little Saco Church located on the Steele County Fairgrounds. Tom worked at various companies in Owatonna over the years, but most recently was at Viracon when he was forced to retire after being diagnosed with brain cancer in 1999.

Tom enjoyed listening to music and was proud to be a member of the 60''s band "US". He also enjoyed working on outdoor projects such as landscaping, mowing and many home improvements to ensure his house was always meticulous. He was a lifelong member of the V.F.W. Post 3723 and the American Legion Post 77 both in Owatonna.

Tom is survived by his wife, Kristi of Owatonna; his children, Kim Krause (special friend, Aaron Schneider) of Chicago, IL, Kelly (Stacy) Just and son, Jacob of Keller, TX and Kara (Jason) McPipe and son, Karter of Blaine, MN; his siblings, Tami Cook of Rochester and Tim (Penny) Krause of Owatonna and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Donald.
