THOMAS ‘TOM’ FREDERICK GRAHAM, 61, of Elysian, MN died at his home on December 23, 2023.
Tom was born December 10, 1962 in St. Paul, MN to Edward ‘Ed’ and Shirley (Voelker) Graham. He was a well known member of the community and respected business owner in Elysian, MN. He worked alongside his father for many years before taking over the family business, now called The Thirsty Beaver. Tom suffered a spinal cord injury as a young man that he never allowed to define him. He enjoyed watching Minnesota sports, especially the Twins, researching the town history and driving and restoring old cars. His Camero, Chevelle, and El Camino were the ones he was most proud of. He made the people he worked with part of his family, with most by his side for more than a decade. Their outpouring of care and support for him during his times of need proved just how strong that bond was. Tom’s smile, quick wit, generosity, easygoing demeanor, and resiliency were admirable and will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Kari (Cameron) Roepke (Barber), granddaughters Regan and Reese; siblings Wendy Olson, Bill Graham, Bob (Mary) Graham, and Jim Graham; dear friends Shylah and Mike Cassidy; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Shirley and grandmother, Viola Voelker.
A celebration of life will be held at The Thirsty Beaver, 114 Main St E, Elysian, MN, on January 6, 2024 from 11-4. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorial donations are preferred.
