THOMAS CLARENCE WOLKE, age 82 of Waseca, died at his Maple Terrace home on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Born in Minneapolis on June 18, 1939, Thomas was the adopted son of Clarence and Elsie (Govia) Wolke. He graduated high school in Elsindre, CA before enlisting in the United States Navy. He served from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1963. Tom was married to Thelma “Arlene” Norton in Mankato on December 9, 1967, and they made their life together until her passing in 1998. Over the years Tom worked at Herter’s in Waseca and later had a 28 year career with Brown Printing until his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed camping and fishing and spent many years involved with the Mankato Pow-Wow.
Thomas is survived by five children, Ronald (Shannon) Wolke of Mankato, Norm (Liane) Porter of Madison Lake, Ray (Anna) Porter of Texas, Rita (Dan) Freeman of Madelia, and Randy (Angela) Wolke of Fairmont; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three brothers, John (Deanna) Wagner of Bridgeport WI, Tim (Ruth) Wagner of Farmersburg, IA, and Roy (Helen) Wallin of Prairie du Chien, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
Private graveside services will be held at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
