TERRY JOE “TJ” SMITH, age 42, of Waseca passed away on the evening of Monday, December 18, 2023 in Waseca.
Born on July 19, 1981, in Kirksville, MO, TJ was the son of Terry and Anita (Fisher) Smith. Growing up, TJ was involved in 4H and later FFA. He graduated from Linn County High School with the class of 1999. Following his education, he enlisted in the Air Force. He served until being honorably discharged in 2002. TJ worked various jobs throughout the years until his health declined. On May 10, 2014, he was united in marriage to Jennifer Majors in Jamaica.
In his free time, TJ enjoyed squirrel hunting and fishing. He was thrilled to have caught two blue catfishes in Warsaw this past summer with his family. He liked old cars and would enjoy spending time riding in his grandfather’s semi-truck. He loved traveling and going to concerts with his wife. TJ was an easy going, loving man who could always be depended on. He cherished his family, and always found a way to provide for them, regardless of his health. He enjoyed supporting his children in their activities, and never missed a hockey or football game. He will be dearly missed.
