Susan 'Susie' (Kewatt) Labs
SUSAN "SUSIE" JOY (KEWATT) LABS, age 59 of Waseca, died on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.
Born in New Prague on October 28, 1956, Susie was the daughter of Roger and Marge (Haas) Kewatt.  She went to Kilkenny Catholic School before later graduating from Waterville-Elysian-Morristown High School.  She spent 30 years working for the E.F. Johnson Company, and then recently spent the last eleven years employed at Itron in Waseca.  On June 28, 2013 she married Dan Labs in Bloomington.  She enjoyed card making, crocheting and sewing, attending craft shows, gardening, baking, and cheering on her nieces and nephews in their activities.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.
Susie is survived by her husband, Dan Labs of Waseca; her parents, Roger and Marge Kewatt of Kilkenny; two siblings, Jean (Jeff) Hagel of Waterville, and Roger Kewatt of Waterville; one brother-in-law, Alan Hiller of Lake Crystal; two nieces, Jennifer Hiller and Katrina Hiller; and two nephews, Brandon Kewatt and Brock Kewatt.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Lori Hiller.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 4-7 PM, with a 6:30 PM parish prayer service, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Friday. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, with Rev. Gregory Leif officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
