Susan Marie Bruegger

SUSAN MARIE BRUEGGER, age 73, of Janesville, died on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at St. Mary Campus of Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester. 

Susan Marie Hadac was born on January 12, 1951, to George and Marion (Havlicek) Hadac in New Prague. She was a 1969 graduate of New Prague High School. Later in life she continued her education at Mankato Technical College, graduating in 1991. On November 20, 2001, Susan was united in marriage to Ron Bruegger and together they lived for a short time in Minnesota Lake before making Janesville their home. Susan enjoyed gardening, bird watching, reading, movies, playing cards, computer surfing and spending time with her granddog, Ripley. 

Susan is survived by her husband of 22 years, Ron of Janesville; daughter, Stacy (Chris) Sherwood of Fort Worth, TX; son, Jason Sarver of Faribault; and granddog, Ripley. She is also survived by her sisters: Karyn Faulds of Avondale, AZ, Janice (Larry) Nelson of Le Center, and Kristin (Dave) Ademmer of New Prague; three stepchildren: Greg (Tami) Bruegger, Kayla Black, and Ryan (Tanyce) Bruegger; eight step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; numerous brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

Preceded in death by her father in 2009, mother in 2024, and sister, Sally Berendt. 

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the Janesville Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will take place on a later date in the Janesville Cemetery. 

Susan’s family request all who attend to wear floral or bird attire.  

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the charity of donor’s choice.
