Stephen Condon March 16, 1938 - January 1, 2009

Stephen W. Condon, age 70 of Minneapolis and formerly of Faribault, died Thursday, January 1, 2009 at St. Joseph''s Hospital in St. Paul following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault with Bernadette Tatge, pastoral minister at Divine Mercy Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Tuesday for one hour prior to services. Stephen Warren Condon, the son of Edmond and Kathleen (Tornes) Condon, was born on March 16, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN. He attended Bethlehem Academy High School for one year and then transferred to the Faribault High School, and graduated with the class of 1956. Following high school Stephen served in the U.S. Air Force at Ramstein Air Base in Germany and later at the Lincoln Air Force Base in Lincoln, NE. While in Germany, Stephen was united in marriage to Eva Genger. They were later divorced. Stephen worked as a TV repairman at various shops in Owatonna, Faribault and Minneapolis. In his free time he enjoyed playing the guitar. He is survived by his two sons, Ronald (Debbie) Johnson of California and Stephen W. Condon Jr. of St. Paul, MN; by his grandson, Christopher Johnson; by his mother, Kathleen Condon of Faribault; by his sister, Joyce (Rodney) Bokman of Faribault; by two brothers, Lawrence (Jean) Condon of Faribault and Donald (Carolyn) Condon of New Richland, MN; by a special friend, Maryann Tinnes of Minneapolis, MN and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, his daughter, Suzanne Kopesckie and his brother, Robert Charles Condon.
