Silviano Lopez September 18, 1947 - November 12, 2014

Silviano Lopez, age 67, of Faribault, MN, passed away November 12, 2014, at the District One Hospital in Faribault, following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault on Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the church.

Silviano Lopez was born on September 18, 1947 in Iropauto, Mexico to Filberto and Maria de Jesus (Hernandez) Lopez. In 1996 he and his family moved from California to Faribault. He worked at Faribault Foods for several years until illness prevented him from working. Silviano and his wife Maria had been together for 38 years. He enjoyed watching soccer and boxing.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Lopez; children, Ezequiel Lopez, Elena Lopez, Lily Lopez (fianc, Greg Brown), and Efrain Lopez Jr., all of Faribault; 10 grandchildren, Kayla Fellner, Vincent Fellner, Abraham Fellner, Aubrey Brown, Adrian Lozano, Jocelyn Lozano, Jessica Lopez, Stephanie Lopez, Alex Lopez, and Alexa Lopez; his father, Filberto Lopez of Mexico; 12 brothers and sisters, which includes Antonio (Alicia) Lopez, and Jouquin (Evelia), both of Faribault; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria de Jesus; son, Efrain Lopez; and brother, Silverio Lopez.
