SHIRLEY LEE ZIMPRICH, age 82 of Elysian, died on Thursday, August 3, 2018 at the Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.
Born on May 20, 1936 in Morristown, Shirley was the daughter of Donald and Ernestine (Woker) Meschke.  After graduating from Morristown High School Shirley was married to Joseph F. Zimprich, Jr. on November 3, 1956 in Faribault.  Shirley stayed home with her four boys for many years, and later went on to work at Herters, Elysian State Bank, Lake Country Sales, and Carlson Craft.  Later in her life Shirley enjoyed researching genealogy and worked countless hours at the Le Sueur County Genealogy Center and the Le Sueur County Historical Society.  She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church and the Waseca Christian Assembly.  She was also former member of the Red Hat Society and she loved reading, crafts, sewing, writing her beloved Christmas letters to friends and family, and caring for two beloved dogs, Heidi and Ayla.
She is survived by four sons, Joseph III (Valerie) Zimprich of Le Center, Andrew (Laurie) Zimprich of Le Sueur, Michael (Lori) Zimprich of Elysian, and Craig (Kimberly Gossen) Zimprich of Bend, OR; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia (Robert) Dolen of TN, and Virginia Rasmussen of WI.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; one brother, Donald Meschke, Jr, and one great-grandson, Anthony Michael Zimprich.
Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Elysian.  Interment will follow at St. Jarlath Cemetery – Iosco Township.
