Shirley Anna Lundquist

SHIRLEY ANNA LUNDQUIST, age 89 of Janesville, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Born on December 21, 1931 in Fisher Township, Minnesota, Shirley was the daughter of Sam and Sophie (Kvamme) Roningen. She graduated from Fisher High School before continuing her education at the University of Minnesota where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health. Shirley was married to Earl Edwin Lundquist at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneapolis on December 30, 1960. Shirley served her community for forty years as the Waseca Public Nursing Director until her retirement in 1999. During those years she was very proud to maintain a service-oriented, patient-centered practice that charged no fees. Shirley enjoyed mowing the lawn on her Grasshopper, gardening, feeding deer and wild turkeys, and being active within the Democrat party.

Shirley is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Keith) Kotsonas of Edina and Lori (Ray) Somers of Waseca; one brother, Sheldon Roningen of Fisher; sister-in-law, Marianne (Bob) Derr of Kenyon; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; two sisters, Lorraine (Jack) Nelson and Ione (Jim) Lillegaard; and one sister-in-law, Carolyn (Wally) Kellam.

Private family prayers will be held at the Janesville Chapel of Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services.
