Sheila Marie Gillen September 9, 1962 - October 16, 2012

Sheila M. Gillen, age 50, of Ramsey, Minnesota and formerly of Faribault, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at her home in Ramsey following an extended illness.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Dr.) in Faribault.

Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory (607 2nd Ave. N.W.) in Faribault and also at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services.

Sheila Marie Gillen, the daughter of Charles Sr. and Mary (Warmington) O''Connor, was born on September 19, 1962 in Faribault. She attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1980. Following high school, Sheila worked at the Faribault Regional Center for eleven years and most recently was a mortgage banker with Bank of America, until health problems forced her to stop working. Sheila loved sports, especially volleyball, kickball and softball. She also enjoyed being on the lake, reading, volunteering at ACS, Habitat for Humanity and Feed My Starving Children, all in the metro area and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her fianc, Richard "Rick" Amberg of Ramsey; her three children, Jessica Gillen of Dundas, Veronica (Chad) Julian of Mankato and Jack Gillen of Dundas; her three grandchildren, Ava Lohrmann, Tommy Julian and Tia Julian; her siblings, Charles "Chuck" O''Connor Jr. of Torrance, CA, Daniel (Julie) O''Connor of Faribault, James O''Connor of Bremerton, WA, Lynn (Ray) Aube of Faribault, Gwen Sorbel of Sioux Falls, SD, Ruth (Chuck) Kitzman of Faribault, Colleen O''Connor of Faribault and Mary Bang of Faribault and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, John O''Connor.
