Shawn Waters

Shawn Waters, 36, of Janesville MN passed away unexpectedly at his home with his family.
Memorial Mass will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church of Janesville. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am 2:00 pm Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Starkson and Steffel Funeral and Cremation Services ~ Arnoldt Chapel of Janesville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are preferred.
Shawn was born April 3, 1980 to John and Deb Waters. He grew up in Janesville and attended JWP.
He worked for the Ethanol plants in the area, helped out numerous farmers and was always willing to offer a helping hand.
Shawn was an avid outdoors man. He would fish any chance he could especially in South Dakota, and enjoyed duck hunting on Swan Lake. He made the best ribs, and would hunt for morel mushrooms as well.
He was the best dad, brother and uncle! From trips to Duluth, boy scout adventures and camping. Shawn would do anything for his nieces and nephews.
Shawn will be remembered for his smile, memorable hugs, dedication to his family, willingness to help anyone in need at any time, and his heart of gold.
He will be missed by many people, and his stories, sense of humor and memories will be shared for years to come.
Shawn is survived by his parents; children, Shania, Austin, Piper and Gabe; fiance, Samantha Alter;siblings, Cliff (Janelle) Waters; Amy (Chad Hanson) Waters, Ryan (Brittany Leidall) Waters; Uncles, Gary Burger, Randy Burger, and Dave King; special cousin, Justin Burger; special friend, Duane Hoyle; 11 nieces and nephews, with many cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
