Sharon Rose Allen

SHARON ROSE ALLEN, age 71, of Waseca died on June 4, 2020, at her home.

Born on January 27, 1949, in Owatonna to Myrven and Violet (Olson) Christensen. She attended Owatonna High School, graduating with the class of 1967. On September 26, 1970, Sharon was united in marriage to Donald Allen at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Together they made their home in Waseca where they raised their four children. Sharon worked at Brown Printing for 32 years. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and crocheting. Sharon had a passion for genealogy which lead to her being very active with the Waseca County Historical Society. Sharon was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald of Waseca; children: Missy (Mitch) Thompson of New Richland and their children: Jordan Allen, Braeden Thompson and Kaylei Thompson; Ben Allen of Waseca and his children: Brian Allen and Emma Allen; and Kyle Allen of Waseca. Sharon is also survived by her first child, Eric (Kristine) Oppegard of Owatonna and their children: Elise and Issac Oppegard; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; son, Eric Allen; brother, Dale Christensen; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Charles and Dolores Allen; brothers-in-law: Randy and Dennis Allen.

A Public Graveside Service will be 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 13 at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca with Fr. Gregory Leif officiating.
