Sharon L. Totten February 6, 1943 - December 8, 2013

Sharon L. Totten, age 70, of Faribault, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault, following a brief illness.

Memorial services will be at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Henry Doyle, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault at a later date.

Memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the services.

Sharon Lillian Peterson, was born on February 6, 1943 in Faribault to Andrew and Lillian (Thiffaut) Peterson. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1961. Sharon married Glen Totten on June 16, 1979 at the Episcopal Church in Dundas, MN. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2012. Sharon worked as a House Mother at the Minnesota State Academy for Deaf for 35 years, which she truly loved. She also was a Union Member for that length of time. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, and painting.

She is survived by her siblings, Nina Wendel of Morristown, Kert (Judy) Peterson of Faribault, and Kent (Donna) Peterson of Mountain Lake, MN; nephews and nieces, Chad (Carrie) Wendel, Brad (Crystal) Wendel, Amy (Jon) Green, Angie (Al) Lisowski, Wendy Peterson, Becky (Doug) Gawtry, Craig (Kiri) Peterson, Travis (Sandy) Peterson, and Andrea Goldstein; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; parents; brother, Alan Peterson; brother-in-law, Loren Wendel; and niece, Melissa Peterson.
