Semert Dorma June 27, 1922 - July 29, 2014

Semert Dorma, age 92, of Faribault and formerly of Minneapolis, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.

Private family Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Interment will be held at the Riverside Cemetery near French Lake, MN.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault, MN.

Semert Dorma, the son of John and Sophia (Sakinen) Dorma was born on June 27, 1922 in French Lake, MN at the family farm. On October 5, 1944 he was united in marriage to Martha Mattson in Wright County, MN. Martha preceded him in death on April 29, 1992. Semert worked as an autobody repairman and was very talented at this trade. Semert also played in the Dorma Brother''s Band with his brothers for many years.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandy (Ed) Snyder of Morristown, MN; by his grandson, Zaro; by his brother, Edward (Mayme) Dorma of Elk River, MN and by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four sisters, Elma Robinson, Mae Girard, Hilda Dorma and Lorraine North and by four brothers, Hubert, Emil, Arthur Dorma and an infant brother.
