Selina Jo (Preston) Southard

SELINA JO (PRESTON) SOUTHARD, age 62 of Morristown, died Saturday, August 26, 2023, surrounded by her family at the home of her son in Waseca.

Born May 30, 1961, in Marshalltown, Iowa, a daughter of the late Stuart and Sharon (Jensen) Preston. She attended school at BCL-UW Community Schools in Beaman, Iowa. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waterville. Selina had a strong love for all things nature, birds, plants, eagles, and cats. She loved catfishing with her family and was a huge lover of the lake. Every year, she would rent a pontoon boat to spend the day on the water for her birthday. She loved baking and giving her baked goods to anyone who would take them. She loved talking on the phone, but above all, her family was the light of her world.

She is survived by her children, Shane (Tasha) Southard of Waseca; Sara (Corey) Warner of Waterville; grandchildren, McKenzie Warner of Fargo North Dakota, Shance Southard of Waterville, Trysten Olson of Elysian, Gabe Rux of Elysian, Austin Draper of Roseville, Sabastian Southard of Elysian, Maddison Wilker of Waseca, Haidyn Southard of Elysian, Harper Wilker of Waseca; siblings, Sonya Bultman of Morristown, Scott Preston of Morristown, and Jolene Valencia of Tempe, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents and maternal and paternal grandparents.
