SCOTT WAYNE TRICKEY, age 66 of Baudette, formerly of Waseca died, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, surrounded by his family in Waseca.
Born December 31, 1957, in Minneapolis. He was the son of Edward Trickey and Barbara (Wright) Bourassa. He graduated from Waseca High School – Class of 1976. On November 19, 1994, he married the love of his life Christine (Chrissy) Amsrud at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca. Scott was very family oriented and took great care of his family. The best title to give him, “the family participant”, he was deeply involved in his family’s lives’ any opportunity he was able, a great man. His second greatest passion, next to the love for his family, you could call him a “pro-outdoorsman”. He loved hunting, especially pheasant and deer, fishing, berry picking, camping, and any activity pertaining to the outdoors, is where you could find Scott. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca.
He is survived by his mother; his wife; his children, Keith Trickey, Shelly Kuster, Jenae Mata, Anthony Kuster, Jackie Kuster; grandchildren, Jozelyn (Ernie), Jackson, Jasmin, Armando, Lilyahna, Lexus, Estela, Keaton, Meena; siblings, Terry (Christine) Trickey, Karen (Ken) Anderson, Todd Bourassa; sister-in-law, Kelly Ewest; brothers-in-law, Bill Ewest, and Scott (Amy) Ewest, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Effie Nelson; grandmother, Lois Wright; his father; and infant sister Lois Ann.
Visitation will be held, Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, at Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service – State Street Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Interment will be held at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
