SCOTT RUSSELL BATTENFELD, age 58 of Brooklyn Park died on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.
Born on February 22, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Russell and Myra (Fritz) Battenfeld.  Scott graduated from Waseca High School in 1978.  He began working at Brown Printing Co. at the age of 16 and continued to work in the printing industry until the time of his death.  He married Debra Thomez on September 10, 1991 in Waseca.  Scott enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren.  In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors – camping, traveling and spending time at the lake skiing and boating.  He also enjoyed music and attending concerts.  He played a mean air guitar and could out sing the best of them.  He was a member of the Lake Harriet Spiritual Community.
He is survived by his wife, Debra of Brooklyn Park; children, Shane of Portland,OR, Katie (Anthony) Powell of Portland, OR, Jacob Lynch (special friend, Paula Barry) of Faribault, Jason (Sara) Lynch of Waseca, Joshua (Megan) Lynch of Waseca, and Jonathan (Tiffany) Lynch of Waseca; nine grandchildren, Camryn, Haydn and Amilya Lynch, Kennedy and Mya Lynch, Cash and Cruz Lynch, Lylah Hart, and Charlotte Powell.   He is also survived by his mother, Myra Battenfeld of Elysian; brother, Dan Battenfeld of Owatonna; sister, Holly (Joel) Ulland of Lakeville; mother-in-law, Shirley Thamez; sisters-in-law, Lori (Robert) Ferry of Waseca, and Monica Loppnow of Rochester; brother-in-law, Rick (Jane) Thomez of Waseca; and many nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Emery and Irene Fritz and Fred and Gladys Battenfeld; and father-in-law, John Thomez.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 4-7 PM.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca with Rev. Kevin Smith officiating.
