Sandra Jean Rauchman

SANDRA JEAN RAUCHMAN, age 85 of Janesville, died peacefully on the morning of Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. 

Sandy was born in Mankato on February 24, 1939 to parents Gustav and Helen (Bucholz) Lundgren. She attended school in Eagle Lake as a young girl. She was married to Maynard Omar Rauchman on October 19, 1957 in Mankato. Sandy worked as a warehouse manager at Midtex in Mankato for over thirty years, and later worked for the E.F. Johnson Company in Waseca. In her younger life she was involved with the Eagle Lake Saddle Club and the Janesville Bowling League, and she was a long-time member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, puzzles, and following all Minnesota sports as well as her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Sandy was a people-person that loved to visit or get coffee, and she was always overjoyed to spend time with her family.

Sandy is survived by two children, Darrell (Diane) Rauchman of Mankato and Vicki (Grant) Davis of Mankato; five grandchildren, Thomas (Janelle) Rauchman of North Mankato, Daniel (Kate) Rauchman of Minneapolis, and Cody (Kelly) Rauchman of Cottage Grove, Samantha Gruis of Waseca, and Amanda Gruis of Mankato; six great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Richard Lundgren of St. Peter, Michael Lundgren of Mankato, and Luverne (Bernice) Lundgren of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; one son, Steven Rauchman; one sister, Donna (Marvin) Passon; and three brothers, Duane (Kathy) Lundgren, Robert (Bonnie) Lundgren, and Gary Lundgren.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Janesville Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service. A closing prayer service will begin at 7:00 p.m. lead by Pastor Kathy King. Interment will be held at the Janesville Cemetery at a later date.
