She attended Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake High School in Burnt Hills, NY and graduated with the class of 1968. After high school Ruthy worked as a secretary for various businesses in New York. On September 14, 1974 she was united in marriage to John J. Zoubek in Scotia, NY. After their marriage John and Ruthy lived in several different states because of where their jobs took them and in 1988 they moved back to Faribault. In 1991, Ruthy started at the Faribault Daily News and worked there until May of 1993 when she changed jobs and began an 18 year career with KGP Telecommunications, Inc. She first worked as a Data Entry Clerk and over time she gained more responsibilities because of her hard work. In 1998, Ruthy took on the position of Executive Administrative Assistant and the responsibilities that came with that. She had many different responsibilities within the company and was the go-to person that many relied upon. Because of her hard work and dedication, Ruthy was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in 1999. She formed many great friendships across the company during her life and career and will be deeply missed. Ruthy cherished her children, Jen & John, enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and still had enough energy left over for her husband Johnny. She enjoyed crafting, collecting gnomes, decorating, riding behind on the Gold Wing, shopping during the holidays to totally surprise you & most of all enjoyed comforting others. She was a fanatical cleaning lady and articulate at everything she took on. She was quick witted and always had a comeback and would never let you off the hook. Ruthy was a "Down to Earth Person" regardless of your standing in life. She always had that devilish grin and leprechaun smile. She is survived by her husband, John J.
