Roxanne "Roxy" Slechta

March 28, 1955 — September 15, 2022

ROXANNE “ROXY” SLECHTA, age 67, of rural Waseca, died on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at her home.

Born on March 28, 1955, in Faribault to Lyle and Marian (Schifflett) Reid. Roxy attended Waterville-Elysian Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1973. She was married to Paul Hruska of Kilkenny. Together they had two children and later divorced. On August 20, 1999, Roxy was united in marriage to Thomas Slechta and together they made their home on the farm in rural Waseca.

Roxy worked for K-Mart and Le Sueur County DAC for many years. She was currently working for LCS Precision Molding in Waterville. She enjoyed tending to her gardens, canning her produce, and making sure the bird feeders were always full. She enjoyed going on John Deere Gator rides with Tom and Maui and together they enjoyed fishing. Roxy made sure that if you came to visit you were well fed. Roxy was an amazing grandma who would rarely missed any of their activities. She cherished spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Roxy is survived by her husband of 23 years, Tom; children: Eric (Tara) Hruska of Waterville, Beth Hruska (Richard Tolzmann) of Waterville, Laura (Jeff) Jensen of Waseca, Rachel (Joshua) Anhorn of Waseca, and Arica Slechta (Jake Wick) of Medford; grandchildren: Briana Hruska, Mikaya and McKenna Schuster, Damon and Danielle Tolzmann, Adelyn Jensen, Mersaydes, Evan, Alex, Anthony, and Alaina Anhorn; siblings: Rhonda Thielbar of Poulsbo, WA and Todd Ketzeback of Richfield; beloved dog, Maui; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Brady; and sister, Pam.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Waterville Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service.
