Rosemary Burnett, age 91, of Janesville died on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Mankato with her family by her side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 PM, on Sunday, February 19 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Family will greet the public from 11:30 AM 12:00 PM at the church on Sunday. Memorials are preferred to St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville or Food for the Poor.

Rosemary Catherine Burnett was born on November 10, 1925, in the city of Mankato, Blue Earth County, Minnesota to Joseph and Anna (Shamp) Wolfe. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and attended school in Minneapolis staying with her aunt Marie in the winter months. She attended St. Peter and Paul Catholic School and graduated from Loyola High School in Mankato on the 4th day of June, 1943. She was united in marriage to Wilmar Henry Burnett on November 1st, 1945 at the parsonage a double ring ceremony at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato.
They lived in Kasota, Henderson, Mankato and then Waseca, on the farm from 1956 1986. After a wonderful farm life they moved to Janesville. She has worked at Midwest Electric in Mankato, owned a Caf in Mankato, Brown Printing, Lyles Drive Inn and the University of Waseca. In Janesville she worked at Grass Roots Floral. She loved being a farm wife and raising her girls on the farm. Her hobbies included: reading, cross-word puzzles, gardening (getting her hands in the dirt) and doing crafts. She loved to play bingo and cards with her family and friends.
Rosemary was a "Wonderful" mother, grandmother, great-grandma and friend. She was a member of the Sweet Sommers V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #1642 in Waseca, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca and later St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville. She had great faith in God and may she be with him now.
Mom is so loved and will be missed by her family and friends. She was such a kind and generous person and never wanted for much, except faith, hope and love.
She is survived by her three daughters: Janie (Tom) Fitzpatrick of Duluth, Judy (Mike) Ready of Janesville, and Jerrie (Chuck) Wencl of Medford; six grandchildren and their families: Mary (Edd) Leis of Duluth and their family: Ben (Fiance Molly) of Minneapolis, Josh (Jessica) of Washington D.C.; Kelly (Jason) Hill and their family: Jordan, Caden, Andraya and Brayde of Rosemount; Jeff (Holly) Ready and their family: Ellie, Emma and Eva of Waterville; Chad (Janell) Ready and their family: Blake, Kayla and Jace of Janesville; James (Renae) Herget and their family: Andrew, John and Ben of Apple Valley; Tammy (Dan) Pumper and their son, Spencer Schwichtenberg; sister, Joan Leiferman of Mankato; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilmar on January 28, 2012; parents, Joe and Anna (Shamp) Wolfe; brothers: Herbert, Ernest (Audrey) Wolfe; sister, Mary (Jerry) Burg; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Ida (Borchard) Burnett; god-son, Terry Burg.
