Ronald Thibault June 21, 1941 - September 6, 2009

Ronald F. Thibault, age 68 of Faribault, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 6, 2009 from cancer at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Dr.) in Faribault, with Fr. Kevin Finnegan and Fr. Thomas Joseph, officiating. Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or Bethlehem Academy in memory of Ron. Ronald Francis Thibault, the son of Henry J. Sr. and Shirley (Mahoney) Thibault, was born on June 21, 1941 in Faribault. He was united in marriage to Connie Salmons on August 16, 1968 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Faribault. Ron served as an altar boy at a young age and graduated from Bethlehem Academy in 1959. He graduated from Mankato State University in 1965. He taught one year at Waseca Agricultural School and then started teaching at Bethlehem Academy in 1967. He taught Industrial Arts and was Dean of Students, Interim Principal, and coached basketball and golf. He worked at Bethlehem Academy for 42 years. Ron loved fishing, hunting, cards, Intarsia, gardening, photography and being with his family. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Connie of Faribault; four daughters, Tamara (and Eric) Duffney of Faribault, Anna (and Shane) Meyer of Sylvania, Ohio, Rhonda (and Jamie) Nowaczewski of Faribault, and Laura (and Steve) Gjerald of Faribault; six grandchildren, Paige, Kiera, and Cadyn Duffney, Ethan and Dylann Meyer, and Leah Nowaczewski; his mother, Shirley Thibault of Faribault; two brothers, his twin Don Thibault of Bloomington and Henry Jr. (and Darlene) Thibault of Faribault; sister, Geraldine (and Al) Struss of Owatonna; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Sr.; his in-laws, James and Dorothy Salmons; and sister-in-law, Lorita Thibault.
