Ronald Patrick Campbell

RONALD PATRICK CAMPBELL, age 71 of Mankato, died on the evening of Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Ronald was born in Saint Peter on June 29, 1952, to parents Robert and Florence (Meger) Campbell.  He attended school in Le Center.  On December 23, 1977, Ron was married to Connie Timme in Mankato.  They later separated.  Over the years Ron called several communities his home including Le Center, Mankato, Lake Crystal, Otisco, and Waseca, before finally landing again in Mankato.  He held several odd jobs throughout his life, but most friends and family knew him from the many years he worked at The Creamery Restaurant in Otisco.  He enjoyed fishing, working puzzles, and playing video games.  In recent years he had been diagnosed with multiple cancers but was always able to rally and beat them.  Unfortunately, his last battle was an unwinnable one.  Ron will be deeply missed by those that knew him best.

Ronald is survived by his son, Robert (Eileen) Campbell of Mankato; two grandchildren, Z and Colin Campbell of Mankato; four siblings, Robert “Greg” Campbell of Glencoe, Roxanne (Floyd) Propeck of Wanatah, IN, Gail Boes and her special friend Jeff Nelson of Austin, and Norman Campbell and his special friend Audrey Shepherd of Le Sueur; two sisters-in-law, Judy Campbell of Le Center and Colleen Campbell of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his former wife, Connie; two brothers, Randy Campbell and William “Barry” Campbell; and one sister-in-law, Barb Campbell.
