ROBERT WILLIAM SCHWARTZ SR., age 89 of Waterville died on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault.
Born on February 9, 1927 in Rice County, Minnesota, he was the son of Vincent and Christina (Schlinger) Schwartz.   He attended Waterville Public School and after graduating, worked for Marzahns Implement and Waterville Oil & Gas until his retirement in 1989.  He married Inez Krueger on August 3, 1948 in Kilkenny.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and served as Cub Scout Master for 5 years.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville.
He is survived by his wife, Inez of Waterville; three sons, Thomas Schwartz of Rogers, Steven (Michelle) Schwartz of Elysian, and Robert (Theresa) Schwartz Jr. of New Ulm; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Matilda (Henry) OMalley and Myrtle (Ernest) Gregor; and five brothers, Lawrence (Lorraine) Schwartz, Vincent (Mayonne) Schwartz, George (Charlotte) Schwartz, Leo (Shirley) Schwartz, and Donald (Catherine) Schwartz.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 4-7 PM and continue on Saturday, one hour before services at the church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville with Rev. David Mumme officiating.  Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery.
