ROBERT WILLIAM NEIGEBAUER, age 85 of Waseca died on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at his home in rural Waseca.
Born on January 9, 1930 in Owatonna, Minnesota, he was the son of William J. and Kathryn (Hofer) Neigebauer.  He attended Owatonna schools graduating in 1947.  In 1954, Robert joined the U.S. Army and served in Korea.  Following his honorable discharge, he purchased his farm in Woodville Township, Waseca County.  He began working at the Waseca Post Office in 1967 and retired in 1990.   Robert was united in marriage to Theresa Kramer on November 22, 1969 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.
Robert was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca and a charter member of the Medford-Deerfield Knights of Columbus.  He was a member of Waseca VFW Post 1642.   Robert had served as clerk for the Waseca Rural Area Fire Board, Treasurer for the Woodville Town Board for over 40 years as well as a director for Woodville Cemetery for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa of Waseca; sister, Norma Bonnie-Baffoe of Waseca; brothers, Walter Neigebauer of Guymon, OK and Daryl (Janice) Neigebauer of Owatonna; and many nieces and nephews.     He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clarence; and sisters, Florence Schroeder and Rita Eisterhold. 
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 5-8 PM with a 7:00 PM parish prayer service.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
