Robert Jones

Robert "Bob" Jones, age 69, of Mankato, formerly of Janesville, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 6, 2018, at Pathstone Living in Mankato.

Memorial service will be 2 PM on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 with a visitation for one hour prior to the service all at Janesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Kathy King and Rev. Margery Lisle officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Cemetery in Mankato.


Memorials are preferred to charity of donors choice.
Robert Winton Jones was born on August 8, 1949 to Winton and Elizabeth (Barr) Jones. He was a 1968 graduated of Waldorf Pemberton High School. Bob continued his education in Mankato as he pursued his dream of becoming a baker. He worked at various restaurants and bakeries across Minnesota and Iowa throughout his career. He favorite hobbies were singing Karaoke and going for long drives with family and friends. Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his siblings: Lorene (Duane) Bleess of Mankato and Allen (Mary) Gerdts of Janesville; sister-in-law: Colleen Gerdts of Waseca; nieces, nephews and other relatives.


He is preceded in death by his parents, step father, Earl Gerdts and brother, Doug Gerdts.
