Robert Otis Boyd

ROBERT OTIS BOYD, age 78, of Waterville died on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the St. Mary Campus of Mayo Clinic Health System in Rochester.

Robert was born on March 6, 1945, in Nebraska to Gale and Gertrude (Getzke) Boyd. He began his education at a rural country school and graduated from Waterville-Elysian High School with the class of 1963. In 1984, Robert was united in marriage to Beverly Braun at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freedom Township and together they made their home in Waterville. He worked the majority of his career in manufacturing, helping build commercial furnace and air conditioning units for McQuay which is now known as Daikin. Robert enjoyed working on vehicles, fishing, playing cards, and farming. He was always busy, whether it was working on a project at home, on a vehicle, or playing with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville.

Robert is survived by his wife of 39 years, Beverly; children: Natalee Stiles and Branden Boyd; grandchildren: Justin and Bryan Stiles, and Mariah Boyd; sister, Janis (Roland) Deno; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Marlin Boyd.

Private family services will be held.
