Robert "Bob" Sack, age 79, of rural Janesville, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family on June 18, 2019.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM on Monday, June 24, at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Clair with Rev. Matthew Grunewald officiating. Interment will be in the Janesville Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Robert Wilfred Sack was born on August 26, 1939, on the farm in McPherson Township, Blue Earth County, to Wilfred and Marcella (Brennen) Sack. He was baptized as an infant and later confirmed as a youth all at St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church in St. Clair. Bob attended country school through eighth grade and spent a short time at St. Clair High School. On January 11, 1965, he was united in marriage to Sandra Rannow at a courthouse in South Dakota and together made their home on the family farm where he was born. They raised five children while taking care of his grandfather who raised him, Adolf Sack.
Bob was a life long member of St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church in St. Clair. He was known to his best friends as the Christian Truck Driver or "Rapid Robert". He loved driving truck over his 43 year career. He also enjoyed custom combining for local farmers in the fall. Bob enjoyed riding his motorcycle and horses, playing guitar and singing with the band "Country Notes" in parades throughout southern Minnesota. Bob cherished the annual camping trip he took with his family to Lexington in the bus that he converted into a camper. He had a love for children, especially his grandchildren, Bob often referred to them as "My Loves". He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra; children: Jackie (Jerome) Walechka of Elysian, Peggy (Jonathan) Kopischke of rural Mankato, Greg (Teresa) Sack of Janesville, Laura (Robert Nielsen) Sack of Kasota, and Pam (Jayson Breck) Grunzke of Waseca; grandchildren: Jacqueline Walechka, Mya Walechka, John Kopischke, Katrina (James) Schlie, Alicia Kopischke, Adam, Josh, and Zack (Heather) Pfarr, Jocelyn (Rodney) Sikel, Sara Sack, Krystal Gardiner, Andrew Baldwin, Joshua Gardiner, Nicolas Baldwin, Kaylee Nielsen, Peyton, Savanna, and Dominic Grunzke; many great grandchildren; siblings: Joan Larson, Eugene Sack, Dale (Margaret) Sack, Alan (Angie) Sack, Brenda (Dave) Crandall, and Tery (Bruce) Blahut; step mother: Elsie Sack of Waseca; best friends, Del and Betty Goebel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; step father, Ralph Erickson; grandparents: Adolf and Anna Sack.
