Robert "Bob" Curry

October 28, 1942 — October 13, 2020

ROBERT “BOB” DALE CURRY, age 77, of Janesville, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Robert Curry was born on October 28, 1942, in Fosston, Minnesota to Robert and Lyla (Bodin) Curry. He grew up in Lake Bronson and as a teenager his family moved to Pemberton. Bob attended Pemberton High School graduating with the class of 1960. At a young age he met Julaine “Jane” Weyhrauch through church and on September 29, 1962, they were united in marriage at Medo Lutheran Church in rural Mapleton. Bob and Jane were blessed with four children and as a family they lived in Mankato and Rochester before moving to the Twin Cities. Bob and Jane have spent the last 28 years in Janesville. Bob worked in the grocery business for over 30 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking, sports, traveling, bird watching and spending time outdoors. In their younger years, Bob and Jane loved to go dancing every weekend and were known to attend the ballroom in matching outfits. His family fondly remembers his contagious laugh, sense of humor, generosity to others, and a good cook, even if his sandwich and salad concoctions were not always on point. He was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church in Janesville where he volunteered many hours woodworking. In his later years, he loved following his grandchildren’s activities. Bob was blessed with many loving and caring friends throughout his life and he treasured every one of them. Above all else he cherished the time he spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Jane; children: Scott (Lilik) Curry of Sunnyside, Queens, New York, Shana (Randy) Sveningson of Coon Rapids, Paula (Troy) Schrom of Janesville, and Tricia (Kenny) Goers of Mendota Heights; seven grandchildren; five step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; siblings: Loanne (Steve) Schmid of McGregor, Sharon (Craig) Cimbura of Pierz, Gary Curry of Minneapolis; brothers-in-law: Jerry (Patti) Weyhrauch of Capac, MI, and Jeff (Kelly) Weyhrauch of Mapleton; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
