Richard, "Dick" Lyle Ryan, age 64, of Fairchild, WI passed away at the Augusta Nursing Home on Friday, November 7, 2008 after a valiant battle with cancer. Dick was born September 3, 1944 to Daniel and Viola (Eustice) Ryan. He attended school in Janesville. He has resided outside of Fairchild, WI for the past 18 years. Dick had been a mechanic all of his life and was employed at Federation Co-op in Black River Falls, until the time of his illness. Dick enjoyed working on cars and the outdoors, and loved time spent with his family. Dick is survived by his wife, Mary Lou of 26 years, by his sons: Shane Ryan of New Richland, MN, Rick Ryan of Waseca, Chad Ryan of Waseca; by his daughters: Corrina "Tina" Ryan of Waseca and Stacie (Alan) Ingle of Janesville, MN; by his step-children: Tammy (Bill) Everett of Annandale, MN, Scott Compart of Mabel, MN and Melissa Compart of Osseo, WI. Dick has one brother, Daniel (Darlene) Ryan of Waseca, MN and one sister, Colleen (Doug) Gerdts of Waseca, MN. He is also survived by his stepmother, Esther Ryan of Janesville, MN, by stepbrothers, Ivan (Janice) Maas of Janesville, MN, Orlen Maas of Forest City, IA, and stepsister, Marilyn (Brad) Hardt of Mankato, MN. Dick had six grandchildren: Anthony Ryan, Amanda Ryan, Jordan Ryan, Abraham Ryan, Cody Ingle and Kelsy Ingle. He also had four step-grandchildren; William, Benjamin, Sam and Zech, Everett, and three great grandchildren: Alexis and Kiera Barber and McKyla Hasselquist. Dick is further survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Angela Ryan. A memorial visitation was held at Buswell Funeral Home in Black River Falls on Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville, MN. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will take place following the service at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery in Janesville.
