RICHARD MARVIN DONALD PRIEBE, age 89 of Waseca, died on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Colony Court Memory Care in Waseca.
Born in Waseca County on October 14, 1927, Richard was the son of Bennie and Hilda (Buker) Priebe.  He attended school in New Richland.  Following graduation he went straight to work on his familys farm.  On June 2, 1949 he married Marjorie Hoy at the Le Sueur River Church.  Together they made their home just a quarter mile from where Richard was born and he has worked on that farm ever since.  Richard was a kind man who found genuine enjoyment in helping others.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and had taken up woodworking in his retirement.  He was a lifelong member of St. Peter Otisco Church.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marjorie of Waseca; three children, Kathy (David) Guse of Waseca, Rick (Julie) Priebe of Le Sueur, and Lorrie (Leroy) Bluhm of Janesville; six grandchildren, Matt (Kristen) Guse of Waconia, Michael (Krista) Guse of Rio, WI, Andy (Alissa) Guse of Lonsdale, Nathan (Abby) Guse of Ramsey, Josh (Kate) Bluhm of Clarks Grove, and Angie Bluhm of Mankato; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents; three brothers, Lester, Norman, and Luvern (infant) Priebe; three brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in New Richland, with Rev. Scott Williams officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
