Richard Henry Pride Jr.

RICHARD HENRY PRIDE JR., age 67, of Waldorf passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at his home.

Richard was born to Richard H. Pride and Klouina A. Stevens on May 24, 1955, in Bigfork, MN. He graduated from Staples High School in 1973. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Army. Rich was stationed in Germany until he was discharged in 1975. After his military career, he furthered his education at tech schools in Staples for farm mechanics and Brainerd for vending mechanics.

Richard worked at various jobs throughout his life. He worked at Conoco Service Station in Randall, Electrolux Vacuums, and even helped with well drilling and hauling grain in Motley. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. He was known to fix anything if you would ask him. He also enjoyed having his Ford vehicles. He will be dearly missed.

Richard is survived by his children, Richard Pride, Klouie (Mike) Seeley, Julia Pride, Danny Pride; grandchildren, Alexis and Aiden Seeley; life partner, Vicky Hudson; sister, Christi Allen; brother, Mike Pride; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Pride III; parents, Richard Pride and Klouina Stevens; sisters, Shelly Pride and Kevette Thompson.

A memorial service will take place at a later date in Motley. Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service are handling arrangements.
