RAYMOND ALBIN PETERSON, age 63 of New Richland, died on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Waseca on November 2, 1951, Ray was the son of Albin and Geraldine (Bull) Peterson.  He attended grade school in rural Waseca and later graduated from Waseca High School.  He married Deb Bauman, and following their divorce he was later married to Cheryl Adams.  Following high school he worked at Delta Truck Body in Waseca, then did masonry work for several years.  He later began farming with his brother and father in Waseca County doing dairy and crop farming.  He had been a very talented high school wrestler and enjoyed following wrestling throughout the rest of his life.  He also enjoyed hunting deer and bear, fishing up at Leech Lake, gardening, being outdoors, canning, and spending time with his family.
Raymond is survived by five children, Jenae Peterson of Waseca, Kristi Peterson of Geneva, and Alison, Jade, and Jill Peterson all of New Richland; two grandchildren, Michaela and Hayden Groll; his former wife, Cheryl Peterson of New Richland; four siblings, Karen Klinger of Mankato, Lee (Chris) Peterson of Chaska, Randy (Sandy) Peterson of Waseca, and Vicki (Pat) Hough of Mankato.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents; and one brother-in-law, Ray Klinger.
Visitation will be held from 2-6PM on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Dennis Funeral and Cremation Services in Waseca, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca, with Rev. Victor Waters officiating.
