RALPH JAMES EARL, age 85 of Sleepy Eye, died on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Born on October 28, 1930 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, He was the son of Joseph and Frances (Prokisch) Earl.  He graduated from Sleepy Eye High School and served in the U.S. Navy.   Ralph married Jean Esther Sandberg on September 8, 1956 in Granite Falls.  He was a lifelong resident of Sleepy Eye and spent his entire career as a lineman with Brown County rural electric.  Ralph enjoyed horses, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of Sleepy Eye; two children, Cherie (Larry) Jacobson of Waseca and Jon Earl of Minneapolis; three grandchildren, Naomi (Brandon) Milbrett of Waseca, Peter Jacobson of Minneapolis, and Philip Jacobson of Waseca; and four great grandchildren.   He is also survived by two sisters, Muriel Nentl and Alice Mattson both of Fisher and one niece, Janis Williams.   He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Waterville with Rev. Daryl Jacobson officiating.  Visitation will be held on hour before services at the church.
