NOEL MILTON QUIRAM , age 82 peacefully passed on to his eternal resting place at his home surrounded by loving family on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
Noel was born September 11, 1930 to Louis and Alma (Geisler) Quiram in the same house where he later lived and now died. Noel loved farming his entire life. He worked the land and participated in the transformation of agriculture first using horse drawn implements to controlling computerized tractors and equipment. Noel was proud to have received “Century Farm” distinction in 2012.
Noel loved hunting, farming, and family. He was creative with building, welding, and designing unique farm equipment. Noel also enjoyed specialty meat processing using any variety of meat, fish and game. He was always wearing a smile, willing to help, and generous to others.
Noel is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret (Mentjes) Quiram.  Children: Darryl (Melissa) of Dresser, WI; Wayne (Yu Ying) of Cleveland; Marilyn Larson of Mankato; Leon (Naomi) of St. Peter; Theresa Heimel of Roberts, WI; Daniel (Jackie) of St. Peter; Julia of Mankato; and Elaine (William) Meyers of Stevensville, MD.  Nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Also survived by siblings, Kenneth (Carol) Quiram, Edna (Herb) Volkmann, Warren, Roger (Judy) Quiram and Sisters-in-Law Sharlou Quiram, and Betty Houck of Hubbard, TX. Noel was preceded in death by siblings Dennis Quiram, Dale Quiram, and Vera (Milton) Enter. Sisters-in-Law, Rita Quiram, Mona Quiram; Daughter-in-Law, Susan Quiram, and grandchild Michael Quiram.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the St. Peter “Bell” Lutheran Church in Le Sueur County, with Rev. Russ Grabau officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church on Thursday.ÂVisits: 10
