PORTER WILLIAM SHEEHY, age 26 of Montgomery formerly of Waterville, died unexpectedly on May 24, 2020, at his home.
Porter Sheehy was born on February 20, 1994, in Mankato. He was the youngest of six children born to Patrick Sheehy and Lisa (Kletschka) Sheehy. Porter attended WEM High School where he loved playing football, graduating with the class of 2013. In 2016, Porter welcomed the first love of his life into the world, his daughter Praydin. Throughout his life, Porter worked for the family business “South Central Seal Coat” and later for Blattner Energy. He was a kind, and good hearted young man, although he was known to be quiet he had a great sense of humor. Porter loved fishing, working out, playing guitar and listening to music. Porter broke a world record doing three chin-ups with 225 lbs on his waist which can be seen on YouTube, breaking the previous record of one chin up with 207 lbs. He enjoyed spending time with his fiancé, daughter, parents, siblings other family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Porter is survived by the loves of his life. His fiancé, Micaela Smith; daughter, Praydin Sheehy; and step-love, Micaela’s daughter Brinley Smith. He is also survived by his parents: Patrick Sheehy and Lisa (Kletschka) Sheehy; siblings: Patrick (Crystal) and their children: Bardot, Magnolia and Knox; Leslie (Jacob) Lee and their children: Iszabela, Vanndin, Liviana, and Creidin; Tiffany (Eli) Lange and their children: Kavan, Kherington, Blair and Blakelyn; Cathrine (Trey) Roemhildt and their children: Ryet, Wylder and Baby #3; and Dylan (Hannah) Sheehy and their children: Roaran and Lochran; grandmother, Carol Sheehy; many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 4 – 7 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the Waterville Chapel of Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services.
A Celebration of Porter’s Life will be 2 PM on Friday, May 29, 2020 at the Family Farm (19164 460th Street, Waterville, Minnesota, 56096).
Due to Covid-19 restrictions we will be limiting the number of guests for the visitation in the funeral home at any given time. We also encourage the public to practice social distancing guidelines throughout the visitation.
